Two rabbits keeping cool in the shade on this VERY HOT & Humid day.  It's even too hot to make "little bunnies" but not too hot to make "little turtles". (hehe) The  "AD" on the barn was to give the scouts some history of my layout....PLUS, I love to brag about it too!

MAN, was it HOT!
Mid 90's and Humid..  with a heat index well into the triple digits..  Attendance was light because of the heat but, we still had close to 50 folks. Everyone got to see the layout, guzzle down a Poland Spring or 2 and get an 2006-2007 Aristo Craft catalog PLUS a "Blinking" crossbuck lapel pin ...compliments of Aristo Craft Trains..
(thanks John)

Sorry for a delay in getting this page up but, I just haven't had that much time to review some of the photos that I took BUT, while I do that, and finish up this page,
CLICK ON OUR PHOTO
and take a look at the "West Berlin" web page my buddy Pete Eggink added  to his site.
Thanks Pete for the coverage!

Some of the
TRAINS?! What trains? All of these giirls are from England. They found Ed's Fire Truck very neat and they all wanted there photos taken on it.. The girls on the truck are: Helen,  from Stoke-on-Trent. Jill, from Lichfield. Jill, from Stafford.
Taking Pictures, Resting on the Deck  and,  Resting in the Shade (note the catalogs the leader is holding)..  There were other girls scouts that visited but, for some reason  I must have been busy with other guests and failed to get their photos.      I thought my helper Jo-Anne got their photos but she didn't... DOH!  Sorry girls!.. We did enjoy your visit and, hope you liked  our "Steamy" New Jersey  weather.......  and,  the "New" West Berlin Garden Railroad..

The  "Famous" Reading RDC making it's first run on the layout.
As I walked Pete to his car we noticed this monarch fluttering about on a bush next to my driveway.. Pete took aim but his batteries were dead so, I took the photo. The hot weather has brought out many varities of this butterfly to feed on this bush.
