Since I wasn't on the NMRA bus tour for July  2006, I announced, with only a few days notice (I might add), that I would have the first Open House with the new Eaglewings layout on June 3th 2006..  (Hence the name.)

Well..as always, it rained and my open house was cancelled.

I  checked the weather report for Sunday, June 4th, and it looked better so,
I announced the rain date (June 4th) and, with a little luck,  I would have the First (new layout) Open House on Sunday.

Below are some pix from the event. I was pretty busy answering questions about the new layout that I failed to take my normal round of photos. Here, along with mine, are photos taken by Tony Parone to supplement this page.
USA Train's new S4 switcher was the most photographed train of the day.
Here are a few pix of this beauty.
As always. the Dash 9 is also an attention getter.
And certainly we can't forget the other trains of the day now, can we?
The LGB Amtrak bullet train zipped along the inter loop all day. There were aome questions about this "oldie".
For some, it was the first time they've seen it.
After an hour or so the elevated line's reversing unit quit so, the RDC was moved to the main trackage and the "Bullet" took a rest.
The "Berlin to Winslow" shuttle moved folks to and from all day.
Thomas and Friends also make a few rounds by the end of the day.
Other Stuff..
I made up a few little scenes but didn't over do it.  The weather didn't seem like it  would co-operate and I didn't want the stuff to get rainned on..  And guess what? It did!.. Oh well, there's always the next time....
In Attendance..
Betie Mancuso and Lori Lederer stop by to see the trains. They both said that they like the nostalgia. "It's like when we were kids
at Christmas Time."
Mrs. Leeds,  Bob Shaw and Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Morrill checking out Thomas..
Explaining the ease of operation using the Train Engineer to George Clark.
Elinor Clark watching the Bullet make it's run by.
Janis and Jerry Leeds wanna see how they connect..
George is in a trance. It's either Bob Shaw or the trains doing it..George doesn't remember..
More comments from Bob on trucks, couplers or something..I don' t remember..
The Morrill's sharing their GR photo book with Tony Parone.
The Engle's enjoying the view.
