Open House 2004
Again, like last year we were rained out on Saturday. With a few exceptions, we all opened on Sunday, June 6th, at noon or shortly after, and, to my understanding, we all had a decent turnout and, I also heard we all had fun! I've done 2 previous "Open House" pages on my web but, this year I had many photos emailed to me. Why?? Because I requested them. I got so busy with the set up on Sunday morning I didn't remember to get my camera until midway through the Open House. So, this is the BIGGEST open house page ever. Below are photos by Bill Chestnut, Pete Eggink, Rick Raively, Tom Weaver and myself (not labeled). I DO get by with a little help from my friends. Thanks Guys!

The West Berlin Garden Railroad
The Aristo Craft's Dash 9's were the most photographed trains of the day.. With the Phoenix sound cranked up you just couldn't miss them. Pulling a 20 plus car train also helped to get noticed.. They both ran without a hitch for 7 hours on Sunday.
Top Left: 2 FA1's ( back to back) pull 5 lowered Aristo streamline passenger cars past Winslow Junction. Top Right: Thomas theTank engine running on the inner loop. He was a big hit with the kids. Bottom Left: RDC # 407 waits at Cold Springs for passengers on the elevated point to point. Bottom Right: A PRR Eggliner spend the day running folks from Haddonfield to Clementon Park.
Donna & Rick Raively with sons Kevin & Matthew enjoyed their visit. Rick told me it was their 17th wedding anniversary. I hope he gave her more than just a visit to the West Berlin Garden Railroad. Did you Rick?
Matthew & Kevin just couldn't get enough of the trains...And the questions they ask made me smile. Bill Chestnut, holds his railcar and wants to piggyback on Thomas' track...That was pretty neat when it hit Clarabel's butt...

TRAIN GUYS: L to R Cliff Bailey, Mert Gardner (was on tour but didn't open Sunday), Tom Weaver, myself and Pete Eggink. We're looking at the strange dude by the coke machine. Tom said, "I bet he's from California. He really should be in the movies you know..."
Lil' Chris wanted to visit today. He heard that some of his friends were coming to meet Bevis & Butthead. Chris, do you want your face to freeze that way??...NOW STOP IT! Lil' Chris is a Rick Raively Creation
