| Here is my nephew and niece, Danny and Jennifer, taking turns running my new Bachmann "Big Hauler" (ATSF) set under the Christmas tree in 1990. Little did I know at this time that, within 5 months, I'd paint and re-letter the engine and tender and weather all of the cars and, would be running it outside. |

| Here is the Original Box (front) from the "Red Comet". What a deal this was. I bought this at Allied Hobby for $99. Reading about all of the stuff inside how could anyone NOT buy it? Below is a close up of the contents..The telephone poles and signs are still in use today. A few years later, I got a Bachmann Radio Controlled "Big Top" Circus train set there for $59. Note: this box reads "Electrically Operated". |
