What will he think of next ?(I know..hehe)
Late summer, last year  Dan and I were talking about my RDC line (which is also Eaglewings)and he mentioned that he was thinking of make buildings in G scale. I said, "You're kidding right?" Dan said, No.. I think I can do it ..We're kicking around ideas now..

Hmmmm!  OK,  when you get it going  I'd be happy to display them on my layout. What a better place to show them off but on the "Official" EagleWings East Coast All Weather Outdoor Layout EH?
Dan said.. "Yea, that'll be cool"

We spoke mid-March 2007 about them and, planned on showing them off fully painted and gussied up at my June 2007 Open House..

They arrived within a week of my Open House and, were painted and ready to be shown.

The photo on the left was taken before I opened up for the day. The buildings are positioned in the main pathway around the layout.  They did cause a little "bottleneck" but they also generated a lot of questions which, I was glad to answer.

The buildings were named based on my sense of humor. (except the Travel Agent)
SB'S Lounge = Sponge Bob's
EMI = Beatles Recording studio on Abbey Road
(The boys needed a place to walk to)
MOJO Deli + a place where
Mum, Mum MoJo wants to work.
HOAGBUILT HOTEL = The name says it all.

Finishing the buildings can be as simple or complex as you wish. It depends on if you want another building to maintain on your layout or not.. I DON'T! That's why I chose to just paint and letter them.... First, using Aetone, I  washed the entire painted (powder coated) surface. What I used to paint them:    Masking tape and exterior spray paint...top-coated with Krylon Clear Matte spray Graphics are stickers or vinyl lettering..Roofing is Plasti-Kote "Stone Touch" spray paint.. Windows are made from Large Scale train box display window plastic which, was sprayed with a matte finish to "frost" the plastic. It was then cut to larger size then the window opening and glued to the inside.

The doors on the "Hoagbuilt Hotel and EMI (plus lattace work at top)" were left original to show the "powder coating" prior to painting.
